What is Fabrication and Installation Inspection?

Fabrication and installation process inspections are technical verification activities covering pre-manufacturing, manufacturing, installation stages, and post-installation inspections of equipment and structures. These inspections aim at verifying compliance with design and project requirements both in the workshop and in the field.

Within the scope, material conformity, inspection of welded joints, dimensional verification, installation sequence, and post-installation checks are performed to ensure continuity of quality assurance.

Application Areas and Technical Approach

Fabrication and installation process inspections performed by ALFANORM are applied to pressure vessels, storage tanks, boilers, pipelines, piping systems, and steel structures.

Inspections are planned and carried out at critical control points of the manufacturing process and after installation is completed, in accordance with relevant national and international standards and project and client specifications. Findings are recorded through traceable technical reports.
